Dr. Tauber was born in Oceanside, New York where he attended the local school system through graduation. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then pursued his medical training at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. He served a rotating internship at St. Mary's Hospital and the Children's Hospital of Montreal, a McGill University affiliated program. He and his wife and newborn son then returned to Long Island, N.Y. to complete a year of general surgery residency prior to beginning urological training. He completed his Chief Resident year at the State University of N.Y. at Buffalo in 1974 and became Board Certified by the American Board of Urology in 1976. Dr. Tauber and his family moved to Atlanta in July 1974 where he has been in continuous practice since then. He has served as Chief of Surgery in the Gwinnett Hospital System and at Shallowford Community Hospital and as Chief of Urology at both Norhside Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. Dr. Tauber's special interests include the No Needle, No Scalpel Vasectomy and endosopic laser and electrical surgery of the prostate and lower urinary tract. Dr. Tauber has been married to his wife, Susan, since 1964 and has two adult children, a son living in Atlanta and a married daughter living in New York. Mrs. Tauber is an Occupational Therapist and founder/director of The Adaptive Learning Center, a school for developmentally delayed young children. They have 5 grandchildren. The Dr.'s favorite interests aside from medicine are walking and jogging, traveling, studying French and spending time with his family.
Howard A. Rottenberg, M.D., C.M. UNDERGRADUATE: Dr. Nyhoff is originally from Wilmington, Delaware. He attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate. He completed his college education in 1980 graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He Subsequently attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated Cum Laude in 1984 and then proceeded with his urology training at the same institution, entering private practice in 1990. He has worked in the Atlanta area since then. His areas of interest include minimally invasive prostate surgery, stone disease, female voiding dysfunction, and oncology. He is board certified in Urology and has served as the section chief of urology as St. Joseph's Hospital. He presently is on staff as Northside Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Gwinnett Medical Center Lawrenceville and Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth. He resides in the city of Atlanta with his wife and daughter. His non-urologic interests include golf, travel, and family. Dr. Goldberg is originally from North Woodmere, New York. After attending Emory University, getting a B.A degree in Psychology, he attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He then went on to do his urology residency at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. Upon completing his residency Dr. Goldberg joined North Georgia Urology, P.C. in 1989 where he practiced for the next 22 years before the practice merged with North Atlanta Urology Associates in August, 2011. Dr. Goldberg is on staff at Gwinnett Medical Center, where he has served as Chief of Surgery, Northside Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association and the Medical Association of Georgia. Dr. Goldberg’s areas of interest are renal stone disease, urinary incontinence, and treatment of lower urinary tract disorders. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, playing golf and traveling.
Dr. Rubin is a native of Atlanta. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans, where he graduated in 1976 Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Biology. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1980. Following graduation, he completed a Surgical Internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He subsequently trained in Surgery and Urology at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, in Memphis, completing his residency in 1985. Dr. Rubin opened a private practice for Urology in Lawrenceville, Georgia in 1985. He continues to practice at Gwinnett Medical Center, Northside Hospital, and Saint Joseph’s Hospital. He has been married to his wife Pam since 1979. She is a Learning Specialist, having earned a Master in Medical Science from Emory University. They have a married daughter Heather, who has a Master in Special Education from Boston University and lives in Miami Beach, with her husband Brian, an internist. Jessica their other daughter graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and is presently an OB-GYN Resident in Atlanta. Their son Michael is attending Drexel Medical School in Philadelphia. Dr. Rubin is Board Certified and a member of the American Urological Association. He has been honored multiple times in American Rated Physicians and listed multiple time in Atlanta Magazine as one of Atlanta’s Top Urologists.
